I’ve had a few ups and downs in my life. I’ve had to laugh at myself and how panicked I became in those moments.

Trials come to make us stronger. We can choose to believe that or become panicked every time things are not going as planned. I’ve learned over the years not to panic. I’m usually calm in the midst of the storm. In fact, for someone like me who has the gift of gab, I actually become quiet.

I’ve learned to be quiet and listen. It’s a trait I acquired over the years. I have learned to stop talking and listen to that still small voice. I’ve also learned to keep my mouth shut and let God handle it.

Over the years I’ve been hurt by friends, family, co-workers and people I trusted. At times I’ve wanted to take revenge on the pain and hurt they caused me. But I learned God’s word is true. He said “Vengeance is mine”. I’ve learned to close my mouth, stand still. God will do what he’s always done…take care of Paula.

Our reminder text today;

To me belongeth vengeance, and recompence; their foot shall slide in due time: for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things that shall come upon them make haste. – Deuteronomy 32:35
