Praise
There is a song called ” Praise Him in Advance”. initially, when I first heard this song, I did not understand the lyrics.
At the time, when the song came out I was in the process of a divorce and I was angry. I recall thinking how do I praise him in advance when I don’t know how he’s going to work it out. I was perplexed about how I was going to sell my business, provide for my daughters and create a future for myself. I was going through so many emotions at the time. I remember asking God “Why would you allow me to experience this?”.
I believe this is what most of us call going through a storm. In hindsight, I allowed my storm to overwhelm me. I was completely consumed with solving my problems. Why did I think I had to find an answer for every problem? Because we’re brainwashed by the world into believing that we must know everything in every moment. God does not operate that way. There are times when we won’t see our way and it seems impossible. But God majors in the impossible.
In my mind, I had become overwhelmed because I was trying to solve my problem instead of allowing God to solve them. Most of the time many of us struggle with the solution. I believe God wants us to learn from the process, not just the solution.
Jesus Christ found me at the darkest time in my life, picked me up out of the gutter, and accepted me as I accepted Him into my heart. As I live, I have learned to grow from my relationship with God.
God wants to take our relationship deeper.
When was the last time you wore your pants out praying on your knees? Have you done an all-night prayer meeting? For most of us, the answers to these questions are no. In order to get extraordinary power, we must go deeper in Christ. Today, commit yourself to going deeper in Christ. The solution should not just be your focus. The process is important. Please pay attention to the process. I finally did. Lesson Learned.
God’s Reminder-
But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Matthew 6:33 NIV
