“For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form, and in Christ you have been brought to fullness. He is the head over every power and authority” (Colossians 2:9-10, NIV)

We don’t need anything else. He is our refuge and strength. What would it mean to experience the fullness of Christ? To find our contentment and strength in Christ alone. God promises us that he ALONE quenches our thirst and is our portion.

“My flesh and my heart may fail, But God is the strength of my heart, my portion forever.” (Psalm 73:26)

Throughout the day, I think of SO many things/people/situations that could be added to me. If only I had that, then I’d feel whole. If only I felt connected, then I’d feel complete. God is the answer to feeling incomplete and empty. If my identity is wrought in him then I can not be shaken. If my identity is molded by him then I can live freely with his truths. Tune out the world of discontentment and empty promises. The world looks enticing but it will not satisfy.

“I am at rest in God alone;
my salvation comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and salvation,
my stronghold; I will never be shaken.”
(Ps. 62:1-2 HCSB)

We live in a world of sinful/broken people. Thinking on their actions or relying on them for fulfillment is futile. Rest in him. Soak in the miraculous gift of living beyond insecurity, and emptiness. Find rest in his promises and fullness in his provisions. You are right where you need to be, a beloved child of God. My Prayer is this: Lord God, I praise you that I don’t need to search for anything else! My mind doesn’t need to wander. I can rest in knowing that all I have is in you. I am FULL in you. Help me to realize that being a beloved child of God is ENOUGH, nothing else will satisfy the longings in my heart like you do.
