Opportunities to work and serve others, and the skills to do it, are God-given gifts. We should be responsible and work to our ability. We need leisure to replenish. Jesus wasn’t condemning work and activity, only our anxiety and failure to see God as our ultimate provider.

"Should I preach, or teach? Should I give my life to missions or adopt an orphan? Should I be the janitor at school to try and be an example for kids? God tell me what you want for my life!"

God invites us to see upside down. If you aren't poor, go live with the poor. See their view. If you have power, go and sit with someone who doesn't. See their view. If we love to win, what can losing teach us?

On my way back to school I heard a voice say “There is still work for you to do”. There was my answer. The rest of the week I thanked God for answering my prayer. I still had work to do.
